I am looking for some advice on a pole that can handle 10-12oz ball in a trolling application. I also need some action in the tip, broom stick won’t work. I will be using it in trolling a 360 pro-troll with the weight, so I need to see the action of flasher. Also, I am not looking to spend a lot. Length, flex, lure weight.

Im pretty sure most jigging rod can handle that weight. Im using a baidarka ML and works perfectly with 1lb ball. BTW thats what I used for trolling too.

If you're looking for a glass rod, was at Hi's the other day and held the Daiwa VIP A series rods.  They are pretty nice rods for the money.  The 270 model rated 12-30lb 7ft would fit the bill.  Feels comparable to the old Seeker American series. Indestructible glass blank, Fuji components, nice colorway.  Shoot, now I want one.

The Daiwa Wilderness trolling rods are an amazing value. They only cost $20 (!). I have the 8'6" MH model and it works well bounce balling for halibut, as well as downrigger or planer trolling for salmon. Maybe I would turn my nose up at it if I spent time using a $400 rod, but currently I have no complaints.

Check out the lamiglass x11 or a Phoenix abyss 806. the lami is a little lighter then the 806 but both are worth every penny. The Diawa VIP that jkjhung mentioned is also a very nice rod! pick them up and see what feels better for you.

+1 Was just at Outdoor Proshop. Was looking for a ball rod, something that could handle a 2lb ball. I'm pretty new to this and don't know what I'm doing but the guys set me up with a 807 abyss. Seems pretty nice and I'm excited to give a try. The 806 was awesome and so were the lami x11 and daiwa VIP. Nice rods

I use a 8’6” okuma celilo heavy action for 360 dodger fishing. Less than $60 and has perfect action using 8-12oz. I’d go with the Xheavy for 12-16oz. Only difference between the 2 actions is the back bone. Both have the same noodle tip.

A 7’ M Ugly Stick Tiger would fit the bill, and they’re cheap.
