Hello - I’m Jeff. Been kayaking since I was a kid and fly fish when I can, plus fish for crabs from a kayak in the winter. But I’m pretty new to ocean fishing, and just moved back to the Bay from the East Coast.

I’ve got the basic gear and safety equipment and am hoping to learn a bit from the forums / tag along. In terms of skills to barter, I don’t have much unless somebody on here wants to show me the ropes of kayak salmon fishing in exchange for me showing them how to acquire/care for honey bees. (That’s my other hobby and I kinda dig helping people get set up and get weird). Otherwise I’ll just read and go out on calm days and try not to get run over by a cargo freighter.

Thanks to everybody who operates this thing. .

Hey there Jeff!

ooh, you're Honey bee enthusiast. I honestly might be interested in learning to take care of a hive!  If anything I might pick your brain.

I haven't caught any salmon from a kayak yet, but Would totally be down to meet up with you and try and get them together!  I'm usually launching from Rockaway in Pacifica for Salmon.

There's a ton of people going out for salmon in Marin Co, and San Mateo county, and at just 6 more posts you'll be in the member's hookup forum where everyone posts where they're going for salmon this week.

Welcome Jeff. An easy way to meet people and learn is to join or post a hookup.

Welcome Jeff!  If you ever decide to launch from Santa Cruz area I'll be around, plus a bunch of others.

I’d be delighted. At 202 480 4453. I have 11 colonies right now, so could probably put efforts into helping somebody else get started rather than expanding.
