So my wednesday morning opened up -- plan is to launch at first light from Rockaway and be off the water before noon. Weather looks pretty nice.

Cheers,
Brad

I will be there if I can get out of work. My Half Moon Bay trip yesterday was a near disaster so I’d like to get out again and at least be able to spend some time fishing and give it a good effort chasing the salmon.

Went today. Looks really promising. Got a good pump, unfortunately that was it. Lots of bait and whales. Good luck tomorrow.

Contemplating too.
Eddie, how about it?
Going Fishing?
Winds from the south, hook in
    the mouth.
Wind from the east, bite the least.
Wind from the north, further off.
Wind from the west, bite the
    best.

Yeah Eddie, I didnt want to spoil someones report later. But I've a 36" in the beach from another kayaker. He came in while we are launching. Even my bite seems a pretty good one. Go north 50 FOW 30 PULLS.

If you have a hands-free yak take a pair of scissors out there and do it yourself

Nada for me. Heard a couple radio fish, but seemed very slow. Tons of bait, birds and whales though so some salmon are bound to show up sometime.

Cheers,
Brad

Just saw this...went out 8/26 & 27 for quick runs...no keeper for me on 26th, and limit of a 28.5 & 21 on the 27th. Slow...and lots of small fish... Fish are full, so it may take a few days before they want to bite again?
