Salinity level is pretty high... I’m sure u can get them out in Benicia state park if u want to stay closer to hm. I’ve caught big ones in the Napa River.

It is beginning to be crowded with shore salmon guys with none caught yet...there is a pier at the end of first st. benicia that may yield, bring a crabnet to hoist it up...Eckley pier on the other side may also yield...you can also fish under the petaluma bridge at black point.  All these spots are viewable by google maps...

It can be a bit of a rip in there so 8oz pyramids may be in order, sturgeon are around also so keep those drags a lil' loose if you want to keep your gear...hope you get some good pics... :smt006

I know all there is to know about black point lol....

You can fish for mudsuckers for live bait by the boat docks... use night crawler with a bluegill type hook with a little weight...Carolina rigged... just let it sit at the bottom . Leopards love live baitfish.  Best time to fish there is 2hrs before high tide to 2hrs after... cast past the channel if u can ...the current doesn’t rip so much.

I use a Carolina rig with 3oz egg sinkers on 3/0 circle hook. It doesn’t catch the current so much. If u do decide to fish by the boat launch there’s a picnic tables and bathrooms. Bring surf rod holder plant them in the mud. Set hook fight fish to the boat launch and walk em in.

Leopards are thick in Tomales Bay. Anywhere that you have some eel grass, they're cruising around in there looking for baitfish. There's a nice pullout with s beach just south if Marshall thats a really productive spot for sharks. East shore of Bolinas Lagoon (where the channel runs close to the highway) is a great leopard/ray spot, too. Both spots are easily checked out via Google Earth.
