Two of us left Alameda around 0500. Beautiful ride all the way to the fishing ground. We were fishing about 2 1/2 miles outside of Rocky Point in 80’ h2o. We could have been done around 0930 but those fish were feisty and they kept spitting the hook. Finally we were able to land the devil fish around 1215. RSK Charteruse 35’ OTW, Clear FBR 45’ OTW. Finally the wife is asking for some smoke salmon. These bad boys are chilling in a chill brine for the smoker tomorrow. Here are some pictures.

Brine
2 quarts of water.
1 cup non iodize salt
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 cup white sugar
Couple of Bay Leaves (crunch them)
1 Tbls rosemary
1 Tbls Bay Seafood Seasoning

Brine them for 10 to 12 hours

Make sure to rinse each pieces with running cold water to get rid of the salt and pat dry them.
