A BLACK BELT IS A WHITE BELT THAT NEVER GAVE UP.

After 6 years of training at Wushu Central Martial Arts Academy both Noah AKA Silent Hunter and Lucas AKA Baja Ninja received their 1st degree Black Belts in Kung Fu last Saturday June 29th.

I’m so proud that they persevered in obtaining this goal at ages 15 and 14 respectively.

There was a lot of blood, sweat and tears put into training especially these past 5 months. They trained 6 days a week on all of their forms, weapons and conditioning. I was on them like an ornery football coach and made sure that they did not let their feet off the gas down the home stretch. 

I made them even practice while camping at Lake Berryessa during  the JAOTY, JDOTY ceremonies. 

I’m sure they hated me more often than not during these past few months. There were also lots of father and son talks regarding the importance of finishing this long term goal.

Since their focus has been Kung Fu all this year they haven’t had time to kayak fish or spearfish. Hopefully, we will all be in and on the water soon and posting up the first fish of the year.
