The Japanese occupied the Aleutian Islands of Attu and Kiska, so get the facts straight.  Alaska was also a U.S. Territory, so I guess that doesn't count other than to point out the Japanese army did more than probe the Aleutians...

And, by the way, they say that decaffeinated stuff is almost as tasty as the real thing.  Just sayin'.

No disrespect intended, but there were significant elements within the Japanese military leadership that had plans to invade the Continental US, which they attempted to implement. Although I'm sure American civilians would have taken up arms against such an invasion, there were many other logistical elements that would have doomed the plan to failure. There were other members within their military leadership who realized this & thought invasion was a bad idea, but Japanese fear of the American public isn't what stopped an invasion of the West Coast. It was primarily US military actions in the Pacific theatre that stopped the Japanese military & that's a fact.

Our own US military leadership has all sorts of plans as well.  But they don't implement those plans, political leaders do.  It was not Japan's plan to invade the US.  While the military may have had plans for the contingency, it wasn't the purpose of the attack on Pearl Harbor.

Debating the issue with anyone who uses web based search engines instead of actual educational background isn't getting anyone anywhere, so I'm bowing out.

Besides, I'm packed up and ready to head out to Union Valley for a week.  Looking for mac's and koke's.  Camping at the Robbs Peak Power House, East side of the lake where Loon waters dump in if anyone wants to fish and not debate.
1. I didn't mention Pearl Harbor.
2. Japan attacked the US mainland on several occasions.
3. The Japanese military dominated the civilian government during WW-2. Not the case in the U.S.
4. All of the above facts are easily verified.
5. You've offered no factual evidence to support your point of view.
6. Some well educated historians disagree with your point of view.
7. You know nothing about my educational background.
8. Go catch some fish.
