Awesome weather, people and fishing.  Thanks Innkeeper for putting this together again!  Thanks RMI for the support too! Looking forward to the next one!  7 species on tournament day to win.  Can’t wait to get back to the cove for some more Hali action before they move off to deeper water!

It was awesome event. Congratulations to Eric kaai for putting on it a well organized tournament.  Tournament day was a little rough but Sunday laid out beautifully, and showed the beauty of this place.

The fish were somewhat biting but the company made the trip up worth it. Darius even stayed out super long on Sunday!!!

Great event hands down.

Best bite. And other random pics.

Thank you to Eric Stockwell for teaching me how to fish with bait, and Eric and Verna for being the best hosts a guy could ask
For.  I enjoyed every second.

Big thanks to Eric (and Verna!) for putting on a great tournament.  This has quickly become one of my favorite events of the year. Already looking forward to the next one!

Me and the fam had a great time. Finally got Derik out fishing for the first time. We hit the surf Sunday morning. We didn't catch anything, but after getting the hang of it Derik can cast a little spinner damn near as far as I can. He was also super stoked to win a pair of folding chairs in the raffle!  :smt001

See you guys next year.

Who made the ceviche?  Bomb!  I somehow ended up with the leftovers, (I was drinking and my memory is hazy, hopefully I didn’t just grab it and run to my room!)

Anyway, I’m still eating it, thanks.

My wifey made it from the yellowtail I caught in July. She thought it came out too bitter, but I thought it was pretty good. I'll let her know it was enjoyed!

That ceviche was GOOD!!  Good seeing everyone! Lots of familiar faces that I haven't seen in long time including Eric B. The OG's are in full force too. Saw all my heroes there. Thanks Eric/Verna (the InnKeeper) for putting up such a great event awesome hosts. Eric (Loleta guy) For letting me bunk on the evening we arrived. I did not let TLA took advantage of me  :smt044 Tehpenguins for sharing his site. TLA for being an amazing co-pilot and he told me that he will load me fish. He came through! The first time I went to Shelter not really tried for rockfish. Awesome weekend!

We really enjoyed our first 'Open Shelter' event, already looking forward to next years. Pam and I loved staying at the Tides. Also the road there wasn't an issue, unlike when driving the Aero Cruiser. Sure do admire the prize winning fishermen's skill, for me it was a tough bite. I'll be trying harder next year...
