Hit the water with my buddy Nhea bright and early around 7am for halibut.  Foggy start and we headed out expecting to find bait balls.  Not many around.  No whales, and no real bird activity.  We headed North slow trolling to the pier where Nhea starting catching ALL the bait. I had NO luck with my sabiki for some strange reason?!  Maybe Nhea caught em all....?

We headed past the pier and watched the surfers while I bounce balled and used a swimbait.  Nothing happening...

We headed back South and Nhea was first to hookup on a nice rockfish.  About 30 minutes or so later I got lucky and hooked a cab. But that was all she wrote.  Beautiful weather, wind never materialized as forecast, and we called it around 1:30pm or so...... Bushy was wise to sleep in today.  :smt002

Thanks for the report.

I didn't have time to get the kayak out today, but did make a quick run to SC around 9:00am for a (very) brief surfperch attempt. The swell seemed to be up enough to where it probably made for tough fishing...

Funny you mentioned that... I offered it to him.  But he would not accept it.  Guy’s a beast... if he don’t catch it... he don’t eat it!
