What is the max height at Bolinas where there is still beach for landing?  Thursday looks good besides the high at 11:30 when I would have to get off the water...

Not sure what max height is but two years ago I had the yak bounce off the retaining wall on high tide/south swell. Now I launch at Wharf road and go in/out the channel if there is any doubt.

If I remember correctly, then it's around 5.0-5.5ft when you're basically launching from the concrete.

The sandy beach is visibly around 3.5-4.0ft.
Could always launch in the lagoon and go out like the boats.

Drop some pots on the way out.  I bet there's some dungies still there.

Those numbers are jogging my memory...I might do a no fish run to check the shore...

I used to fish off the Wharf Rd beach for perch and stripers weekly when I was working up there.  But that jobsite finished two years ago, and my memory is a little vague.  But I remember anything over 5ft, I didn't bother to bring my rod with me to work.

The amount of sand on the beach at Bolinas varies with the season -- I haven't been up there surfing for quite awhile so I can't say how much sand is there currently. You might give Two Mile Surf shop a call for current conditions.

You got the salmon bug already Eddie? I'm sure the flat fish and sturgeon will be happy to hear that :-)

Cheers,
Brad
