I moved out of the area but will probably be up in the Bay at some point in the next month or so and would like to get out after some Halibut. Does anyone know how the water's been looking in Alameda/Oyster Point? I'd imagine that there's been a lot of sediment coming in from the Delta with the good rain year. Tides look nice this week for some early season recon...

Water has been pretty dirty.  I don't know the Alameda/OP spots exactly, but I cross the Bay and SR bridges everyday and the water is still stained or chocolate.  I'm hoping 3-4 days of no rain will clear up the water enough to scout some areas.

they're starting to show around ARW and oyster.  Few reports here and there.  Lovely Martha had a decent day a few days back...

water is dirty though- lot of water still flowing in from all the little ephemeral creeks.

I saw the Martha's report and pictures.  They were still fishing in muddy water and managed to get them.  My bet is they were out by Alcatraz.

The bay in general is pretty murky right now. All the runoff is still being flush into the bay.
Barring another significant rain storm, the water clarity should improve in a week or so.

I took my sea kayak out to Alameda last weekend to practice rolling. While being upside down I was thinking how fish could see a thing in this soup. Here's the view from two feet below the surface. You can barely see the outline of my foredeck.
