Loch Lomand Fathers day

Okay, after heading out early with the wife, we made it down to loch lomand to fish and not compete in the derby. It was quite slow, but we headed to the backside of the island and anchored. We launched powerbait to the bottom and lo and behold, I get this trout along with another. 14" was what it taped out too. After getting some lunch with the group, wwe headed back out and found a few large bluegills that hit hard on white jigs. Here along with my trout are the largest of the bluegill. Fought real good on the ultralite

Oh yea, I lived up to my handle when I went for a little swim. I fell out, twice!!!! Good practice to get in when you fall out.

Also I would have on the derby with the trout. Mooch I was going to give you $50, but you missed the call!!!

Hey splashdown when my kids were young I use to take them there just to catch the bluegills. They could do that all day long. Then we would go to the back end of the lake and fall off the boat accidentally of course.

My fall, was because of my clumsiness. I was adjusting my seat and leaned to far to one side and "SPLASHDOWN!" Hey, my glasses and my hat stayed on too! Second time was when I was boarding and again put too much weight on one side and in I went again. The folks on shore had a show and I got cool with a little swim!
