I've got a question, what is the best way for me to get a kayak from LA (long beach to mountain view)?  I was thinking of offering $150 on craigslist for someone to drive it up here.  Do you think that is fair?  (Of course if there is an NCKA member interested, that would be even better.)  It is a 12 foot kayak, 85 lbs.

PM me the details and maybe I can help out. My gf lives down there so I’m usually driving down every couple weeks

There's also UShip. I've used it now a few times for getting annoyingly large things moved-sort of a combination of ebay aND Uber for moving stuff.mostly one man shippers and private parties bid on your move.

I was just in LA two weeks ago and would've brought it back with me.  If you're not in a rush, then I'm heading back there in April and can bring it back

Thanks Racer and Simplycool, but I don’t think I can keep the kayak down there for that long.  Probably has to be within the next 2 weeks.  It would be awesome if a NCKA brother was able to do it. They would know how to transport a kayak.
I’ll also look at Uship as a backup plan.
