http://www.ewa-marine.com/english/index.htm

Attaches to the filter ring on the lens of a camcorder or SLR.

Slightly expensive, but not nearly expensive as a hard shell case, if you can even find one for the camcorder or SLR.

Anyone use one of these?

Yup, I've been researching waterproof camcorder options.

Yes...I have one at work.  Its ok but super bouyant so you have to put about 10#s of weight in it to sink it.  I made one that works better.  These are the plans...

Thanks for the links guys.

Bill, that one is probably a little too ghetto for me.

Sean, how bulky is that compared to the EWA?  Any other complaints with the EWA?  How did it hold up?  I don't actually intend to do much underwater shooting.  Just looking to protect the camcorder as I'm somewhat hard on equipment and I know I'll drown one if I don't protect it.

I may still go the POV route and get a Viosport, but right now I'm second guessing my usage model.

They're both bulky, one is floppy-bulky and the other is rolling-bulky. Its actually pretty small, and it was inexpensive.  I think I spent around 60 bucks.  There is a guy selling finished ones called Epic Surf Housing for about $300...too funny.

I shot some UW steelhead vid with the homemade one and the POV, it came out great.

If you try and use the EWA topside it will in all likelyhood steam up, thats what mine always does.
