Hay guys. I just bought a 2019 hobie PA14 earlier this year and finally bought a Lowrance elite 7 ti2 for it. I was wondering if any of you guys have this fishfinder or something similar and what battery are you using, and lastly how many hours does it last? I was looking into the hobie/lowrance battery wiring kit but wasnt sure if it's worth the $120 or would last a days worth of fishing. Any advice would be great!

I have the elite 7 Ti and use a lithium battery setup that I made myself.   Ran the wires and made the looms myself.  I think it cost about $75-80 in the end, and the battery easily lasts 2 full 5-7hr days depending on what I have one and brightness settings.

The lithium battery doubles as a battery pack for my phone or computer.

Pls just don’t get the Hobie wiring kits. It won’t do you any good.

Buy a good lithium battery, there are a few good ones to choose from.
One of them is mine, price per Ah beat any on the market.

I installed the Elite 7 ti on my PA14 and use the Nocqua Lithium Ion 10 Ah battery.  I haven't been out for longer than about five hours at a time and the battery will last me a couple days.

That sounds great! Glad I'll get a few days use out of it in between charges! I'm getting a 15 amp lithium ion from Chet so it will make camping trips nice and easy. Hoping to be ready to be out fishing in the next few weeks...
