Hit it briefly this morning to try some new mods to the yak.  No stripers to be found but lots of poppin' LMB.

Caught a few "draggin hawg" and one sight cast on the Zoom.  Biggest was about 2.5#, the rest were rats.  Gorgeous weather, surprisingly few boats.

Sounds like a great day on the water. You got out in trademark style, before the big blow hits us this week. How did the mods work out?

Hawk:  The mods worked well.  I added a few flush mounts behind the seat for a gaff and bonker.  Also made a mount for my video set up so I can make some rocky and salmon vids...they also worked out good.

Terry: Pathetic, but it keeps catching fish. It is super weedless. I was pulling it along weed beds in about 8 feet and they were creaming it.  Unfortunately I had one rat about 12 inches swallow the whole brush hog and the 5/0 worm hook...holy$%^&* ALl I could do was cut the line.

Mahi:  Just wish you coulda' stayed for more Kalbi. The ribs got hammered!!!
