I'm thinking of going out from Bullhead Flat at China Camp to fish for stripers around Rat Rock on Sunday afternoon for the turnover of the tide. I know there's a channel that flows on the east side of the rock. Does any have experience and advice about where to go for stripers in the area? Randy

Looks like you're gonna have to find em' for us and do a report.  Get em' on that fly...gonna be a lil' muddy though.  I think dark colors show up in stained water but I could be wrong...I like bait also... as you know. Sometimes they're in the shallow water in front of Loch lomand jetty...different launch than bullhead though...:smt006

Big incoming the south side can stake bait up against the rocks, out go same side will push it into the hole there sitting on the edge of the drop off.
Like eddie said water is gonna be chocolate milk on the outgo

Actually you can launch your kayak for free at Loch Lomand and go to the left after you leave the harbor, it gets shallow on the low but sounds like you'll have plenty of water.  Again you'll have to explore to find their trail or the bait trail.

Thanks, guys, for the input. I'll go by and scout Loch Lomand today, and hopefully go out tomorrow on the incoming tide. If anyone wants to go that would be great.

Marin islands.
Between the islands, there's a sandbar that comes up on the east side running parallel to the slot between. That's mostly outgo.west island has a nice rock submerged on the southern side, at the opening of the slot. Better on incoming.
The rest you should figure out, but look on the west side of west island
