Anyone out there have any recommendations? I have been using a pair of felt bottom dive boots with zipper on side but they are falling apart and with my wetsuit my feet are wet and cold. I have a pedal kayak so I am hoping for something not like a hiking wader boot style.
Thanks for any advice.

If you go with a Kokatat angler drysuit it comes socks so your feet stay dry.  For cold weather I wear wool socks inside and a pair of NRS paddle wetshoe outside.

Some states have outlawed felt soled wading boots because of concerns that they can transfer organisms from one water body or drainage to another, creating invasive species problems.  But you can buy a variety of wet suit booties with rubber soles.  They will help keep your feet warm.

But a dry suit with dry socks, and warm fuzzy socks under the dry socks, will keep your feet much warmer than wet suit booties over naked feet. And a dry suit is a lot more comfortable than a wet suit, and can keep you warm in a far larger range of water and air temperatures than a wet suit can by adjusting the amount of clothing which you wear under the dry suit.

I used to wear surfing booties, but my feet were always cold, even though I wore thin neoprene socks (modified to allow for the separation for the big toe) inside them.
Then someone posted in this forum that some company had Camaro dive booties on sale, I think for like 25 bucks.   They have a silver "titanium" lining.  I still were the wetsuit socks inside them and inside those, some hiking boot liner socks (mostly because I have skinny feet).   My feet now stay warm on all but the coldest days, and they are only slightly bulkier than surfing booties, but have a more firm sole.     But dry feet would be even nicer.

Dry suits would be overkill where you live, but a good pair of paddling pants with attached socks to wear over your wetsuit would keep your feet dry and save you $400.

Another advantage of a paddle/dry suit is that you can wear more-or-less real shoes, which I find makes a big difference when pedaling a lot of miles (trolling, for example). These water shoes are what I wear, and they are nice:

Drysuits are very popular and widely used in norcal.  They are pricey at first but worth the money in terms of comfort.
