Our dog got sprayed 3 times in one week.
Only thing that really worked for us was the following solution
Equal parts baking soda and peroxide with a couple table spoons of Dawn (blue) dish soap.
Almost anyone in the cove who has a dog has this on hand because it's a pretty common occurrence with our skunk population.

Ha ha, the last time my dude got hit by a skunk was at the cove!
We used baking soda and vinegar as I recall, with good results.

Just for info. I just soaped my dog up with the nearest shampoo and dish soap. Worked well.

The house?  Actually stunk just as much. I burned toast. Until my smoke detectors all started screaming. Then aired  it out.  One application did the trick.   Two slices of bread burned until it flamed in my toaster.
