Hand held VHF's on Sale

I have been bitten by the salt water fishing bug and figured I should get a radio to communicate with my fellow fisherpersons and if necessary, to use in an emergency. As it turns out West Marine has several hand held VHF radios  discounted during a 4th of July sale. I picked up a VHF 250 for $170 and noticed they had several others on sale as well. The sale was not indicated on their website so I do not know if they are advertising it or not, but it was a pleasant suprise to see this and a bunch of other stuff on sale when I walked in.

I received the WM mailer a few days ago. Like you mentioned, they have several radios on sale.

Walmart's been carrying marine radios for under $100.  I got one that's not submersible (but had a waterproof pouch) for $40 or so, they had one that was dunkable but it was locked in a case and as usual the employees couldn't locate the key.
