Living in Sonoma County, Cotati to be more precise.  Just got into the kayaking thing over the summer.  Bought one for my wife, loved hers, tried it out, loved it.  Bought an Old Town Predator MK in July.  Tore the ligaments in my heel and have not yet put it in the water.  With the surgery done in early Sept. it will probably be early Jan. before getting it wet! ! !  Totally sux!  I guess being nearly 60, it does hamper healing just a tad.  The kind of fishing I do is primarily fresh water, bass, trout, etc.  No experience in/on salt water.  I did have a small 9ft pontoon boat for the last 10 years and loved it.  But with all the repairs I had to do on them with running aground or from running over tree limbs, it just got to be too much.  Cannot WAIT to get out there again ! ! !

Man, that sounds painful. I hope your rehab goes well and you get back to 100%, Johnny.

Also, hello to the community from me too!
