Had to get out of the Sonoma County smoke, wick day trip to Albion. Launch 8:00 am put three crab pots out on the paddle out.  Conditions cold off shore breeze I. The morning turning to a light South wind the rest of the day.   Ocean small swell really nice not bad drift.   Headed to the North point and fishing was slow til 10 and the lots of Ling action caught and released 6 or more kept a 26 and 28” nothing big but a lot of action around the moth point and further north.   Landed a 22” Cab.   Took out light spinning reel set up and had fun  at hand and releasing blacks and blues with a Canary.   Vic landed as many lings same size range and several Cabs.    Called it a day at 2:30 (still calm) pulled crab pots and had a pot full of Dungy but only 4 legal and one was to close to call sent back to grow.   Drive home saw wild pigs and piglet’s .   Great day lots of fish at the cleaning station and some big Vermillions caught out deeper.

A small swim bait with a small shrimp fly I tie.   They all bite the fly,   Bead head with yarn body, dyed deer hair wing and a flashabo tail.   Slays them.   They have that fly at outdoor pro over in the fly section.   I just copied it.
