A short summary may be best and I want to state ahead of time the reason I posted in general discussion instead of classifieds is because none of what I am about to say is certain and I am seeking advice.

Back story; several years ago I purchased my first kayak (Trident 11) for diving, in fact purchased from a member on this site. It has been great. Then bought a second (Malibu mini x) used for the kids to play on. After that the disease continued to a third purchase for the wife (ocean kayak Venus). Needless to say the Kayaks have provided my family and I with many memories and are in good shape.

Fast forward, I’m not diving anymore. We have upgraded to a travel trailer and don’t haul the kayaks around camping anymore. They are collecting dust as well as my free dining gear I no longer use. It was an amazing chapter in my life but I seem to be gravitating towards other things.

The reason  for my post: “If” I decide to move on from the kayaks and diving, should I sell everything as an entire package just to get it gone and not deal with multiple sales or should I try and sell separate. Truthfully I’m probably gonna re invest everything into an aluminum fishing boat for me and my son to go to the local lakes on so not looking to squeeze very last penny out of everything.

Truly just looking for any advice you all may have.

You should separate for a faster sale on items if in a hurry.

If time is not an issue then you can sell as a package but that would probably take some time.

Maybe interested in the T11 and some of the dive gear if you decide to separate the items.

I'm going to agree with ^

I've seen interesting boats for sale, but with all the extras in a "package" I lose interest right away, but offering them either separately OR as a package deal might be the best idea.

Why not do both?  Price parts separately and discount price for package deal.

I have a buddy that might take the trident 11 off your hands and I'd be interested in what spear gear you have.

I appreciate the feedback folks, I knew everyone here would have good advice. I’m gonna pull the kayaks out of the garage this weekend and get pictures together for them and the dive gear. The big question is what is a fair price, not looking for top dollar only what is fair for them. All the kayaks are in good shape, normal scratches in bottom from pulling into beach but no cracks or repairs, seats will need replacing as they are older but paddles for them are included as well. Any thoughts on prices, I don’t know if that’s taboo to ask but I really just wanna get a rough idea on what I should ask that’s fair to both buyer and myself.

Why do the seats need to be replaced?  Just curious.

I typically will go to craigslist and a few other sites to see what comparable items are being sold/bought for. Then, consider who is making the offer (homie hook up?).

One has stitching that has separated on top the other two are just older, faded, probably be fine I just am picky and like newer but not a necessity other than the one with the small hole from stitching.

I appreciate any and all feedback and the dm’s I have been getting as well. I’m going to attach pictures ASAP and move forward with selling the yaks and all my dive gear. More to follow...

Going to start new thread in the classifieds section with the pics of the Kayaks and gear I took tonight, FYI, I figure that’s more appropriate and will keep me in the good graces of the admin lol
