Went to Loch Lomond yesterday morning, (Monday) with new replacement 5’ugly stik  “trout getter in hand.  Hoping to bust my fishing skunk,  water was a little choppy due a constant breeze, temp was fine, not cold or chilly, Water is still very clear, with visibility 8 feet. water temp 75* at surface.
Headed to the dam to drown a worm on the bottom till my partner arrived, and on the way trolled a lime green “wedding ring”.  Had a very tiny hit on it with no hookup.  (darn)

No luck with the worm on the botton either.  Headed back to the Tully’s  to try some blu gil action, and only ended up with 1 4”er.  (on my ultra-lite pole)
No other action rest of our time on the water.  I asked a few boaters how they were doing, and no one was hooking up. No Osprey sighting either!
My partner did however discover a strange “white slick” in one of the coves and was about to go get a ranger, then he saw a great blue heron sitting on a limb close to the waters edge.  He asked if the heron could do that? I told him yup! Hahahaha  It was quite a large slick!

Oh well, I know the fishing can be slow there, I also know it can be great! Just wasn’t yesterday.
