Hey all,

My fishing buddy is a custom sign maker and we were throwing around the idea of making some cool fishing rulers (for boat, gun, etc)

Before we jump in, are there any legal issues with weights and balances we need to clear before we invest in the first batch?  Obviously we are making these for personal use and want them to be as accurate as possible, but do we need to register these at all?

Thanks!

Consider me interested in one for my yak and guns. I'm tired of the permanent marker rubbing off =P Although I did do some marks on my float line and they work well.

Might be some interest from the NWKA crowd up here in Oregon, shoot me a pm with an email address so you can send me some pictures of the concept, if your not on NWKA ...and I’ll see if we can get the numbers for the first batch up. Also estimated shipping cost to say 97141 (Tillamook)

If you want them to have the NCKA logo you better run it by PolePole. Also, we may change a couple rules (what?) for AOTY next year for what a fish needs to be measured on.

I'd be interested in just a plain old ruler sticker to put on the kayak for non AOTY, legal size measuring. Heavy vinyl type so it lasts....
my new name should be Ostridge. Got my head in the sand. Going fishing and letting go of the other stuff I can't control anyway!

DFG used to give away measuring stickers. I have one on my freezer. Not sure if they are still available or not.
