Anyone fishing Santa Cruz Area tomorrow, 6/3?

Looking for a hookup that doesn't mind helping out a newbie and showing me the ropes.  Been out once before to Stillwater, but haven't tried Santa Cruz, or Capitola yet.  Wanted to get in at least one more day a practice before next weekends festivities. 

Also, anyone know of easy spots for a person to launch by them selfs besides the harbor?  I can roll it anywhere, but just dont wanna have to carry it by my self   Does either Pier allow launching from the rental area's?  I saw a few people renting kayaks at the SC harbor last time I was there.  Maybe for a small fee they do it?

you can launch from the wharf, either from the kayak rental landing or public landing which is the one over. recently, sea lions have been hanging out there, you'll need to shoo them away then quickly launch cauze they'll come back. as for fishing, paddle about 1/2 to 1 mile past the light house (N of the wharf), then 1-1.5 miles offshore where you'll see a bunch of rental boats. nice lings and rock fish there. good luck and have fun. james.
