Looking for hardwood chips

Anyone have any hardwood chips, preferably oak, that they'd like to unload?  I'm working on a mushroom project and need maybe only a yard, 2 tops.  Lots of free on CL, but they are trying to unload 20+ yards at a time, and it's not certain you'll get hardwood.

I have some oak firewood if you want some logs?

Oh I should mention I will have lots of apple and peach pruning available this Feb. Not sure if those woods are good for mushrooms but they work for the smoker. You bring the chipper!

How old and how big?  I can make logs in the round work, if I plug them.

Fruit wood isn’t recommended.

Cut this spring/summer. Most of the big rounds are already split up but I have some 3-4" rounds in firework length and a few bigger pieces left.

Ah, probably too old.  From what I've read, the older they get, the more chance another fungus has had to colonize and compete against the target fungus.

Next summer I'll let you know when I cut wood. Best time for oak is during the 100 degree spells when we get limb breaks.

Thanks.  Of course I just had a live oak trimmed up just 2 months ago, and had a nice pile of chips. But I want thinking ahead.
