Listened to a fishing show this AM and heard Capt. Rick Powers state they Limited out yesterday

10 miles south/west of the head in 40 to 60' of water, little far for the yaks, but promising....Danglin

It finally picked up off Eureka in the past few days too.  Lots of small kings and silvers right now, but the fish are here!   :smt001

Went for a PB ride out of Bodega on Sat. to 5 and 15, cruised around to 6 and 16 and boated 3 for 3 guys to 20 lbs.  2 1/2 lb ball at 45 pulls on green RSK with flasher.  We lost 4 at the boat.  7 hookups in about 3 1/2 hours of trolling.  We were about 18 miles from Bodega.  I noticed that they posted some catches on Coastside at 11 and 9 which is out off Tomales Point about 8 miles.  It is also about 8 miles off Bodega Head to the southwest.  Not quite close enough yet but they are coming.  We were treated to lots of whales on Saturday too.  It won't be long now.

Out Sat and Sun also. (PB) Scratched 2 for 3 anglers to 12lbs. with 5 silvers released and a couple other takedowns. We were out for 6 hours. We were off the Head out to 300ft.
Sunday, No babysitting so Grandpa, Me and the two boys went for a long ride. tried the 9-11 and trolled down to 5-14. lots of boats talking about fish but none for us. Several bait balls with no action. My 4yr old got to reel in a silver and a short king. he kept repeating I love fishing I love it.

By the way you get mighty funny look carrying a toddler and a car seat down the dock.

Friend of mine went out Sat. and Sun. and were with all the boats 18 mi. sw of Bodega.  They had three kings to 10# and lost one large fish for three anglers.  They saw no other catches on other boats.  He said it was a battle with the wind both days.
