raphael and i launched into small surf but cold and windy conditions.  i jigged up a 24" ling and a couple black rockfish.  raphael caught 4 rockies. dissappointing for opening day.

At least you managed a ling. JTF and I could get a fish between the two of us.

I saw everyone bunched up off the point with the pb's when I was making my daily water check and I thought you were all on to salmon. Mike said no; just rockfishing. I watched a guy from boatdocks land a nice striper in close right after. Heard one more was caught. Nothing much happening Thursday when I dove.

Sorry it wasn't better, but a report is good so we get an idea of what's going on.  Thanks for the info.

I launched just after Chris & Raphael returned to shore, and after much work also caught only one 24-25" Ling inside Linda Mar bay. It was a slow day for everyone I talked to, but I saw 2 strippers caught close to the boat houses by guys in skiffs casting hair raisers.
