Forecast indicates 5 to 15 knot winds and 2 to 3 ft swells

Good chance to start the rock fish season north of pigeon point.

Launch at 7:00 AM

Rock fish and stripers are my target fish...there's salmon if you want to keep paddling further out.  Last year Danglin caught the "bottom" (17# striper) when he was just practicing surf launches and dragging a lure.

One thing, keep in mind there's lots of harbor porpoises there...the first time I saw one it scared the crap out of me.  A dorsal fin surfaced 3 feet away from my yak and I thought it was the landlord.  They don't bother you and its pretty cool to see them.

Hope to see you out there,

Gary

I'll be meeting a newbie friend from work and will be introducing him to beach entries and exits.  Hopefully the elements aren't too bad.  If we catch some fish it would be a bonus.  The goal is to prep him for Bean Hollow.

I'll catch up with the rest of you folks next week at the HMB tourney or...

Made WAF points today by taking the family out to Brentwood to pick cherries.  If you plan to go you better hurry because the trees are looking a little bare.
