Hey gang!
I'm thinking about giving it a go at the ARW this coming monday, as the conditions look good I think (high tide of 4.6 @ 7:35, low tide of 2.8 @12:35, wind WNW of 13 mph, 72 degrees).
The question I'm putting to you ARW veteranos is how difficult if at all will it be returning to the Encinal launch at the low tide, if at all?
Thanks for your time, and if you happen to see me out there, please holler at me! Dorky 43 year old white guy on a camo Prowler 13 over here!  :smt003

Unless the wind is diectly from the South launch and landing is no problem. What time are you launching?  I dont see the wind being that strong early in the morning.

Shouldn't be a problem. The ramp gets a little slippery at very low tides, but that's not a big deal once you realize it. You won't be walking through mud flats, if that's the concern.

It's also fairly wind protected by the jetty most of the time, so not a big deal there either. I've been out there in some very windy conditions, and landing was the least concerning part of these trips.

I'm planning on launching around 6:30, and I agree, I really don't think wind will be an issue

2.8 isn't a bad tide.  if the wind gets too much, cut inside the jetty and land on the beach.
