Hi

For what its worth here is a link to a HMB cam with a shot of the jaws. https://www.alltravelcams.com/webcams/sf_bay_area_california/half_moon_bay.php

Probably not an original thought and probably not an original post, I thought it would be helpful to y'all for your planning. Last Friday the fog was uber thick and I probably wouldn't have left my house if I knew it was going to be that thick.

Are you meaning this to be a thread for posting webcam links? If so, I’ll add one.

Guys, thanks for your additions...

Personally, I see value in viewing site conditions days before my arrival.  Of course weather is highly variable day to day and sometimes hour to hour, out on the water.  But it's certainly a good resource.

Don't mean to over sell this idea but it would be nice if we could create a button where you could see a selection of various sites.

BTW, hows that launch at Muir Beach?  Looks interesting.

The launch at Muir is pretty mellow most of the time. It’s somewhat south-facing, so if there’s a south swell the shorebreak can be pretty nasty (even surfable). I’d say it’s a typical surf launch, meaning it really just depends on what the swell, tides, and sand bars are doing at the moment.
