Finally convinced the boss that me & the boys needed a FF so we'd be more successful. (See, there is a positive in not catching fish sometimes  :smt003). Went out today with the FF for only the second time and already I don't like having to connect and disconnect the pin connector each time we go out. Several of the pins got bent and I'm afraid it's only a matter of time before they break.

So I'm wondering what are my options so I can leave the pin connector (with a pigtail) always plugged in to the FF then use some type of plug connector for the wiring.

Any suggestions for what might work best or what not to do?

campngolf I have been using a two pin trailer plug, seems to be working real good.

Thanks Pat. I'm using the same setup inside my yak, but now I'm looking for something similar for the battery and transducer wiring on top. I just have a bad feeling about the connector pins not lasting very long with repeated use. But I'm also not excited about cutting the transducer cable and using some type of connector. Decisions, decisions....

Chances are that if you cut the transducer wire, it will not work anymore since the wires are calibrated.
