Replacing neck gasket on Kokatat Meridian

I just purchased a used Kokatat Meridian on Ebay and it has a torn neck gasket(I knew this before purchase).  I've researched repair options so its 1) Fix with neck gasket kit 2)Send off to Kokatat in Arcata, Ca.

I was wondering if people have experience repairing their own neck gaskets and how difficult the process was.  Any tips?

Yeah, but pmmpete, you are the McGyver of mechanical this and that.  Your design and documentation of the DR for the Revo 13' is legendary.  Thank you I  welcome some tips on the neck gasket replacement.  I'll order one today.
