Adding flotation to Revo

This is what my buddies and I use.  Its been field tested in several rescue assists.  The metal rod pumps water out farther than plastic.

If you just toss gear into the area under the hatch in front of your seat, it will invariably slide forward or backward into some nook inside your kayak where you can barely reach it after you get back to shore, and where you could never ever reach it when you're out on the water.  Don't ask me how I know this.  So if you want to be sure that your bilge pump, or any other piece of gear which you keep inside your kayak, will be readily available when you're on the water, clip it to something inside your kayak.  For example, you could tie a series of loops in a piece of parachute cord, and then tie the cord between two scupper hole tubes inside your kayak, so the cord is lying on the floor of your kayak near the hatch between your legs, with several loops available for hooking gear to.

So if you want to be sure that your bilge pump, or any other piece of gear which you keep inside your kayak, will be readily available when you're on the water, clip it to something inside your kayak.
