The creek arm south of Steele park is still producing nice fish right now. You'll have to paddle out around the peninsula, hook a hard left and head down. The morning bite has been pretty hot from dawn until about 8 am, white poppers. After the fish move down, the bites been pretty solid on white and chartreuse crank baits between 6-15 feet. About 11-noon the bite turns back off until the evening.

There has been a pretty good crappie and cat fish bite by steele park.

That creek arm is an easy paddle from the launch at Steele park, as is the creek arm behind capell cove. A little further and you can fish Spanish Flat. The coves on the east side of the big island have been pretty hot, but it's a bit of a paddle.

This is a pic of my my best friends catch from berryessas taken early june. the small one is a kokanee. He said they had lost 2 that were slightly bigger at the net. They were fishing 20-25' deep using live large minnows. Surprisingly the crappie were caught out in that deep open water also.
Integrity first, Service before self and excellence in all we do.

Thanks for the info! I have read that crappie like deep water, where the water temperature is more consistent. I will definitely be trolling and dropping some live bait in deeper water.
I will report once I come back from our trip unless I have good service down there and just post it the day of.
