Took the new X-Factor out for the first time today.  I caught a couple small bass off of green senkos in the creek channel.  Rancho Seco is a good lake for kayakers, there are no gas engines allowed and lots of good spots to launch.  Rancho seco has some huge bass and panfish.  I love this kayak, can't wait to get out on the ocean.  Many thanks to the GWKC for all their help, they are awesome!

I wasn't using any weight, I was afraid to because there is so much vegetation infesting the whole lake.

nice work  :smt023

I'm no worm expert but my buddy Edsel got me into worm fishing last year in Stevens Creek and I had a blast - gotta love the senkos cause they are heavy enough to pitch without the use of weights. If you watch closely as the senko worm sinks - it actually vibrates on the way down = pretty cool! I use 6 to 8 pound mono with a spinning reel.

Don't you love rancho seco for all the bass in there.  There are quite a few 10lbers lurking.  No boats to worry about either. Let me know when you plan on hitting the water again and we can fish. I'm in lodi.
