kayak rack for 2018 suburu out back

What's up everyone.My son Stevie Steve aka tiny jr.Needs info on what cross bars to get for a roof rack on a 2018 outback.What do you Subi owners recommend?THANK YOU

The factory racks from Subaru suck, so you need Yakima landing pads:

Then you get something called "towers" which attach to the landing pads:

The bars attach to those. Get the round bars if you can because pool noodles can slide right on and create a nice padded rolling support for the kayak.

This is a very sturdy setup that I have on my 2013 Outback. It looks like it's changed somewhat since my model, but I highly recommend it.
Depending on your boat, the Rhino Rack T-Load on the back offers extra support.

Hi Tiny,

I have a pretty new Yakima round bar rack with Q-towers, evenkeel boat mounts, and side loader. If you are interested it would require clips for your specific vehicle. You can use the Yakima fitment guide to see if they are available. The round bars are loud without the evenkeel in place.
