I'm cooking with the Weber Charcoal now seems pretty hard to light and lower temp than the Kingsford. Not going to buy anymore but will keep for slow cooking or smoking.

Thanks, I picked up 3 packs from HD. Lowes had Royal Oak, 15 pounds for $4. I have never used Royal Oak so I thought I would give it a try.  These guys have a good deal on 40 pound sacks of lump charcoal for Kamado's. Oak for $17 and Mesquite for $13. They are near the Cow Palace. http://www.lazzari.com/

Thanks Mike, I burn Kingsford in my fire pit at the condo...less smoke than wood and a heck of a lot cheaper. Plus the homeowners association doesn't complain. Time to load up!!

Thx for input. I try others here and there but Kingsford is still top dog!
