Pacific Halibut Weekend

hey all, seeking some advice.  My fishing buddy and I are planning a trip up north the first weekend in June to chase some Pacific Halibut because neither of us have caught one and we're not sure how much longer we will be in the area.  We live in Santa Cruz, and we're looking for the closest yet most productive spot we can hit heading north that will give us a decent chance at a pacific but.  That being said we don't mind driving all the way to WA if that's what it takes. We will have 4 days of fishing, Fri/Sat/Sun/Monday.  Can y'all give some good suggestions on spots to camp/launch?  I have a TI and we are geared up and comfortable going 6-7 miles out on the water.  Also, consider this a hookup if anyone else is interested in joining us on this wild adventure.  Thinking June 7-11.

Eureka or Trinidad.  Keep an eye on the weather.  We are open here until June 15, then close for 15 days before the next opener.

Oregon and washington have short offshore seasons north of Humbug Mountain (between Gold Beach and Port Orford on the south coast).  Make sure you understand the regs, they can get a little confusing, especially Washington.
