Liberty Island non yak 5/5

It's on fire! Took my gf fishing and she got her first striper(s) and 4 cats to 5#. Hot bait for cats was sardines, bluegill and jumbo minnows accounted for stripers. Good topwater activity at sunrise, but we didnt bring lures.
Bite was top of incoming thru mid outgoing, then just died.

Heck, I don't even have a 2018 fishing license yet...been too busy...you guys/gals are killing me. Nice work...
