How to load/unload kayak...the easy way

I just learned from Youtube this easy method to roof top the kayak onto my truck...

All the sand and dirt on the bottom of the kayak will act as a sandpaper.

The guy mentioned we should use a towel or cardboard to prevent scratches to your car/truck.

also need a way to keep the kayak from sliding back after getting it up on that angle.  it's not as easy when on pavement.

That’s exactly the technique I use when I cartop my Adventure/Revo 16 (which is the same thing as a disassembled AI).

Also challenging on a hill (like at the bottom of a long boat ramp), and there needs to be plenty of space beside your car. But when it works, it is the way to go.

I use the floormat from the back of my suv.  (one less thing to remember to pack) 

I immediately bough this 'Rhino Rack T-Loader Canoe and Kayak Rack'  on amazon.... works like a charme and have little worries to scratch up my small SUV.
Costs some hard cash though.... on ramps I back up in way that it unloads into the water.

And it helps to have the ground level in all directions to keep it from sliding off the far side.  DAMHIK.

+1, had a few saves and it is not easy with a 15ft winged out kayak...

I spent years in the gym developing my KLMs (Kayak Loading Muscles) to avoid the cost of buying an SUV with rails and a roof rack  Juuust joking.

I like the DIY PVC pipe idea.
