While, I've gotten to take my Kayak out a number of times to the Shadowcliffs and Bodega Bay, I have yet to catch a fish (lots of crabs though).  I got a campsite at Wright's Beach for the weekend and want to try Ocean or Timber Cove on one of the mornings.  If anyone is going there and doesn't mind me tagging along, I'd appreciate the company.

I could use some company. Hopefully the swells will be ok.

Just campd at Gerstle/Salt Point last week brought back memories of my first yakcamping session on SoCo, Wrights beach.

wx looks warming trend, but Definitely prepare for unrelenting wind.  Seems like always a major PITA.  Burns thru cooking fuel so much faster as the wind takes away all the BTUs Off your pots, pans!

Have fun n gud luk

Hey Crayfish
I plan on hitting OC on sat. Some friends are camping but I'm doing a day trip. should get there around 6:30ish. If I miss ya at the launch I plan on going north  to Gerstle and above. Like rnrgeek said... hope the swells behave, but it looks like it will be doable. I'll have my radio, give me a holler...
Always nice to meet new peeps.

I had no idea phone reception was so bad out that direction, so it became impossible to message or call anyone to set up a meeting once I got camping Friday.  Fortunately, I met Scotty at the boat ramp by chance around 7:15.  First time on the open ocean with the Kayak and it was awesome.  Scotty helped me sort everything out and it was great to meet some more of the NCKA crew.
I was out for 6 hours and got sea sick in the last two, but after I chummed up the water felt better and got my first fish on the yak.

Congratulations on your first yak fish!  Kayak fishing on the ocean is wonderful and amazing, isn’t it?
