I hit seabright in santa cruz for a few minutes this evening
and tried some 10lb braid with an ultralight rod. high tide, with swirls,
looked like there could be some fish. there were a few, but all dinks.

one other guy caught a couple decent sized ones before I showed up,
and he said 2 harbour seals showed up and chased off the bigger fish.
maybe true, who knows.
