Launched at 6:30, clear, sunny, small swell.

Dogpound bagged a nice Red right off the bat and then some humorless cosmic door slammed shut and we saw nothing for the rest of the trip.  Zippo.

I had a horrible sinking feeling driving out of there today. Due to my work schedule this was likely my final trip to the Marine Terrace fishing grounds. Harvey Street has taught me countless lessons over the years and it has always been a good provider of both food and adventure. Farewell old friend.

Yeah.  Same for us.  Today was probably Randy and my last day on the Carmel bay pinnacles.  At least we were treated a bit better by the cosmos.  Sorry you didn't have more to smile about today.
Saltwater is the cure for everything that ails us,
sweat, tear or the sea.

I raised a few beers last night with a neighbor of mine who fishes at Harvey Street. We toasted the great times we had out there, shared some stories. It was a good day.

I definitely wished the fishing would have been better, but it was nice to meet up with you Littoral! I will be lucky enough to fish it maybe a couple more times before july. I am just bummed I had not fished there sooner.  Thanks again littoral for showing me the way!
next time the fishing gods will treat us well.

Yep, not the best fishing, but it still beats the hell out of about a thousand other things we could have been doing.

Looks like I might be back in town for a day or two around June 30th - July 1st, so it's remotely possible that I could hit Harvey Street one more time before the closure. If conditions look good we'll have to hookup.
