It looks like my wife and I will be welcoming the 3rd and most beautiful member of our family into the world in late January ’08.   :beer3
Rest assured that this child will never know the trauma of being addicted to fishing and paddling late in life, they will know those joys from the start.
Finally, I will be able to buy a snoopy pole without embarrassment… :fishing2

BTW, how young is too young?  I was on the water in a canoe at 3 months old, but didn’t have my own paddle till I was 3… does anyone make a kayak paddle that small or am I going to need to make it myself?

Jim and wife, wonderful news, congratulations!

3 mos sounds fine to me!  I don't know about the paddle but if you can't find one, a wood spatula might work til age 1!

See ya @ HMB!

best wishes,

craig

:)  thanks!
I like the wooden spatula idea!  I was hoping it would give me the excuse to buy a lathe and turn up a nice little paddle...

Selfishly, I hope you have a Miss Rockfish for the Women of NCKA photo album! My granddaughter who lives with me is 15 months old and showed an appreciation for my Rapalas early. So 3 months...why not?

Congratulations, Jim and Chryss!

Congratulations to you and your wife !

Personally, I'd find some Alaskan Yellow Cedar, and make up a small "Greenland" style paddle. That won't justify a new lathe, but that has good and bad points :)

Finally, I will be able to buy a snoopy pole without embarrassment… I've been wanting one of those in the Spiderman edition for Sabiki Rigs. Congrats on your upcoming Joy to you and especially the Wife. Frank
