On the water at 6 am north ramp. Not nearly the striper activity of last week. Worked seven or eight striper boils throughout the morning with no luck thanks in part to the guy in a PB who would come tearing in and put the fish down. Lost one striper while heading back to the ramp trolling a Rapala. Saw LOTS of shad down by long point with a few solo fish chasing them. Great weather and it sure beat being at work!

A side note, this was just my third trip fishing on my kayak. What a GREAT way to fish I'm hooked. Last week I landed a 32 inch striper on my first boil, FIRST cast. What a great web site and I really enjoy all the great reports and tips. Hope to meet some of you on the water some day.

Welcome and thanks for the port!    Mendo is a great weekday lake, gets crazy on the ends.  I still have yet to hook one out of a boil, and that challenge will keep me going!

The Madness turns into an ADDICTION.....

Tell me about it... 850 miles to the north now w/ 50 degree water & rain and it hasn't slowed me down. I just got a new place closer to the water because of it..  :smt003
