Deeper Smart Sonar for Kayak fishing

I'm thinking about purchasing the Deeper for my kayak because I can detach it and use it for bank fishing as well. However, I've heard that since it uses wifi that it can't handle the ocean well, given that waves will topple over it and block the antenna.

Does anyone here have one or can speak to similar products?
