Hey Everyone,

My name is Nate. I am so excited to be a part of this forum! My buddy and I have fished from shore for a long time. After exploring the ocean on an old tandem kayak and finding both success and failure, we decided to invest in some proper fishing kayaks. We ended up in two beautiful hobie outbacks. We started off going for rockfish and found success pulling in a number of lings and other rockfish. We have been struggling to find success fishing for trout (Berryessa and San Pablo Dam) and striper (San Pablo Bay).

Clearly, there is so much to learn. We are enjoying the whole process. It is still going to be a while before rockfish open, so if anyone has any advice for fun kayak fishing we can do I would love to hear it!

Here we go!

Fishing from a kayak turns out to be one of the most life changing activities available - who would've thought?...
