We had Belgians in the Marines. Smaller and squirrelier.

They are awesome!  Most working Belgians are Malinois, but I had a Terv, so sad to let him go due to age.  Still think about him all the time.

I can tell from the cushy bed he won the dog lottery with you.  I’m guessing if he knows how to behave the way you say - he also knows who belongs where: burglars beware!

Yeah, the other day he got a little worked up defending my wife and IÂÂ’s cheeseburgers from another leashed dog that was passing by. I appreciate his sentiment, but weÂÂ’re gonna have to put that behavior in check! Haha!

Hmm... The shelter had this guy listed as a “German Shepherd mix”, but I’m thinking he looks more like a Belgian Malinois (mix).

What do the dog gurus in the group think?

I think it's a good looking dog. That black mask could be from a number of species, shepherds and LGDs (including my favorite breed, the Anatolian Shepherd).
